22 May 2nd Annual Laugh Out Loud Fundraiser a Success
On Thursday May 17, 2018, Mondays at Racine Cancer Care Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Laugh Out Loud: A Night of Comic Relief Fundraiser.
The event, presented by Suffolk AME for the second year in a row, took place at the YMCA Boulton Center for Performing Arts in Bay Shore, NY. It brought together friends, family and Mondays at Racine clients for a night full of laughter and fun in support of the Mondays Mission.
“It truly was a magical night full of some much needed comic relief”, said Karla Waldron, Executive Director of Mondays at Racine. “Every now and then, we all need a break from the chaos in our lives, taking the time to sit back, relax and laugh with friends and loved ones”.
Presenting Sponsor Suffolk AME’s President Daniel Levler, Mondays Board of Directors member Jennifer Carpenter Low and Suffolk County Legislator Tom Cilmi addressed guests, speaking about the important role that Mondays at Racine plays in the lives of those battling cancer on Long Island. The main event was emcee’d by the very funny Mike Calcagno, who kept the laughter rolling with the hilarious, entertaining and all around comedic stylings of Neil Rubenstein, Ian Lara, Nathan MacIntosh and Sean Donnelly.
“We are so fortunate to have sponsors like Suffolk AME, New York Cancer & Blood Specialists, Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology and so many more”, said Rachel DeMolfetto, Co-Founder of Mondays at Racine. “Because of their ongoing support, we’re able to continue to provide these vital services to those battling cancer…proving that we are truly all in this together!”
