24 Aug Salon Pop Joins Mondays at Racine Charter Salon Program; 1st Charter in Nassau County
Greenvale, NY- August 24, 2015 – Salon Pop announced the grand opening of their new cancer care program, Mondays at Salon Pop. In partnership with the nonprofit, Mondays at Racine and The Sid Jacobsen JCC’s Nancy Marx Strength to Strength Cancer Wellness Program, one Monday a month the Salon will open their doors to provide complementary beauty and wellness services for those undergoing treatment for cancer. Services include haircuts, head shaving, scalp treatments, wig care and cosmetic lash and brow services.
To commemorate the launch, Salon Pop hosted a ribbon-cutting event on Monday August 24th at their Greenvale, NY location. Following the ceremony, there was a special screening of the Academy Award nominated HBO short documentary, Mondays at Racine; which inspired Salon Pop to open a charter. The founders of Monday’s at Racine Cancer Care Foundation, Cynthia Sansone and Rachel DeMolfetto, were also on-hand for a short Q&A after the screening.
As the newest charter salon of the Mondays at Racine Cancer Care Foundation, and the first in Nassau County, Salon Pop staff have committed to carrying out the Mondays mission of helping people living with cancer face the challenge of healing… beautifully.
